I think, at most, Gwen is being used as a means of symbolically commenting on trans people and the things they go through similar to how X-men is about discrimination of various groups and so on. The character does not have to be of a group to relate a story about that group. This is common in comics but leave it to weirdos on twitter to not get it. She's not trans but her story can be correlated to trans issues, hence all the trans imagery.

You're wasting your time talking to these eternally always online Twitter weirdos

I'm all for representation but these types are half attention seeking half weirdo shut-ins.

I mean imagine seriously replying to someone with this title

So is Miles a member of the alphabet set? He wants to "come out" to his parents by revealing that he's Spider-Man and tries with his mother. Eventually, he's "not afraid anymore. He's not afraid of anything," so he has the strength to "come out" to Rio.

But she's in disbelief (
cuz Spidey doesn't exist in her universe
). She can't believe her son would be a batty boy. But he's not a batty boy, ma, he's a spidey boy. And she said nothing would change when he told her, that she'd love him no matter what. She said that only to turn around and make a joke about the whole situation by asking him if him "do you push silk out your culito"? And Miles said he had a nightmare about that. See, even he couldn't accept himself. Is his mother calling him a "bottom"? A bottom who pushes another man's leche out his bottom? Is this a metaphor for homophobia in the black community and how it's the worst at home?

:troll:

Like seriously. She’s got an “edgy” haircut and highlights in her hair. That translates to trans now? Thats kind of insulting to both biological women AND trans if thats what we’re reading into as markers

:ohhh:

The haircut had me thinking something:
maxresdefault.jpg

She always had a questionable design.
Like, why not just make her an All-American white woman?
Why she gotta have that soft-butch NY Gentrify vibe?
Spider..."verse"...?

Man, I don't have anything against trans folks at all, but this is definitely a case of someone wanting something to be true, and then trying to logic their way backwards from their conclusion.

Mans said these batty-bwoys are being algebraically suspect :wow:
