hot air balloons are WILD dangerous

My wife and I did a hot air balloon ride about 4 years back. shyt was fun and kinda scary. Dude kept hitting branches and shyt. shyt got real at the end when he missed the landing spot and had to pull up and keep going. His wife was in a truck following us. Luckily we landed in a neighborhood with friendly people outside and they helped us land by grabbing the thing when we got close to the ground. We almost hit a house and shyt. My wife was mad as hell

Dog said "Uh-oh" when we missed the spot. He looked worried but was trying to keep it cool. He said trust me I'm gonna find a spot to land. It may be a hard landing so be prepared. He tried landing in a couple spots but we were coming in too fast so he had to keep pulling up. Me and my wife went skydiving before this and this was scarier. There was literally nothing to stop you from dying. No parachute or anything

There’s stories of skydivers living after jumping out of a plane and their parachute doesn’t work.

I think i mighta jumped

If I'm not mistaken those guys are usually unconscious so there's minimum resistance on impact causing a bounce instead of a splat.

In this situation, I'm jumping. Hopefully, I'd act super quick like the little girl so the drop wouldn't be so bad and id have a chance to live but even if I was high enough to know death awaited me on the ground I'm still taking that over burning to death.
