The underlined and bolded statements is all that y'all need to know about the population growth in the South. They heading up out of Chicago. This bytch is about to be empty. People, especially middle class Black people have had enough. Crooked, corrupt ass politicians. Thugs with badges. Thugs without badges. High ass real estate taxes. High ass sales taxes. High as income taxes. And on top of that it is fugging cold.
Middle class Black people have been been putting Chicago in their rear view mirrors in record numbers and they are heading south, over the last few years especially to Florida and Georgia. They have had enough and truth be told I am right there with them and I am about to be out too.

Black populations fall in major cities - USATODAY.com
White and Black Flight
"The non-Hispanic White Only population of the city actually declined by 52,449, or 5.78%. The “minority” population declined even further, -147,969 or 7.44%, meaning the city actually grew its white population share by 0.38 percentage points...
... the Black Only population plunged by 177,401 as blacks increasingly moved to suburbs... Some indications are that a significant number of black residents left the region altogether. The traditional black magnet of Atlanta – which struggled through much of the decade – was a top five destination for people leaving Chicagoland over the past decade..."

Why not have both? A good solid commuter rail system in Houston would do so much for the city. Especially in densely populated inner-loop. The loop is too dense to be just car-dependent.
Please explain. Dallas-Ft. Worth area will probably be my first stop before eventually moving to the motherland*.Still WOULD not move back to Texas for no amount of money hell no hell no hell no hellllll no.
Sounds like my city (Detroit) in the 1990's, brothers were moving to Atlanta and Charlotte by the bus loads.
Cars and gas is cheapDamn didnt realize Houston was that big...how do yall get around with no reliable public transport? Even in big cities with Subways it can be a pain in the ass![]()
