No it doesn't..... If a train ran from downtown to 290/beltway 8, it'll take almost an hour...

I think you are confusing local routes with express routes... express buses have no stops inbetween....... they are as fast and cheaper than rail..... the reason why people don't favor it; negative stigma towards buses.....

:comeon: it wouldn't take an hour. I can get to downtown from 290/8 in about 30-35 minutes at 4pm-5pm. I know because i do it all the time. A train would get there quicker without having to deal with traffic issues. Only stops should be at maybe Tidwell and then Antoine.

Buses will never be a viable option to anyone. If they check the estimated times like I do it's never an option.

Houston weather the most inconsistent I've ever experienced

Only placed I've lived where you need a spare shirt and a hoodie in your car

I've used the Express/Commuter bus from the Medical Center to Stafford during rush hour, shiit is fast and smooth as fuuck, when you get in them HOV lanes.

The train would have to make multiple stops... not to mention that you would have to integrate it into the park and ride system metro has right now..... traffic issues don't matter when buses have a dedicated lanes.....

Have you rode an express bus? They look like this:

^^^Cheaper and as fast as rail....

This would explain why they're building all this new stuff in my area. I was getting my hair done and I heard a guy saying that a lot of them from where he's from (Maryland) have been coming down here to help build more plants. Makes sense. Plus traffic has been horrible lately in my town.

The great lakes region is known for unpredictable weather. Buffalo NY got the weather that could put grey on preschoolers

Thank you for saying that homie. Them the real fukking savages....word to the Daley family.

But on the real the reason folks leaving Chicago is because of the lack of jobs. The job market is fukking dead up there.

I am from Chicago and live in Dallas. The difference between Chicago and Dallas is that in Dallas you could literally fall and find a job. Folks come here and get jobs in a week or two. Where as in Chicago you may be looking for months for a job.

Companies being racist in Chicago has lots Dota 2

Texas gives mad tax brakes to companies to move there.

Only thing rail does is allow more passengers and lessens costs (one person driving a train vs 4 bus drivers).... other than that, dedicated busways beat rail
Why not have both? A good solid commuter rail system in Houston would do so much for the city. Especially in densely populated inner-loop. The loop is too dense to be just car-dependent.
