Prolly ain't recouped...unless you going multi you ain't really eating off of album sales anyway...60k and 50k first weeks ain't gonna really do it....having big singles and all the exposure he most likely makes his money to wreck lambos with from shows and outside ventures (reebok and clothing deal etc.), publishing (unless the label owns that wholly too) and his advance for each album budget...on the bright side, I doubt if Baby nem been tapping his phone and secretly been recording conversations of him crying on the phone that they'd release to the public while holding him hostage with no release date like 50 did when Buck said he never received a royalty check in an interview

I guess no one read the court deposition papers from J prince son about Drake not ever getting a royalty/album check from Cash Money ever. It seems they are pretty consistent with there business practice.

Sooner or later their initial horrible contracts can end. The question is can the artists be smart enough to wait it out and stay relevant until that time comes. There has always been an upfront price to get "put on".
