Tyler perry has cut a lot of checks to black entertainers, it was period of time where Hollywood wouldn't cut a budget for any predominantly black cast until Tyler perry came in and crushed the buildings with his madea shyt. Artist who hadn't had a job in years got a check from Tyler perry.

So with that said although I found a lot of his movies horrible he looked out, and that is more than you can say for people like Lee daniels and Mona scott who really killing black images in Hollywood, Tyler perry has never been as bad as those 2 clowns.
