This may be a hot take maybe it isn't. Settling is actually in the best interest of the Black community long term. That doesn't mean Black women should marry indigents or that Black men should date women who don't appeal to them at all. But you can't build a community where neither side can find redeeming qualities about the other.
With that said the super uncomfortable truth of it all is high earning Black women don't see Black men as high value at all so it's not really a money issue per se it's a perception issue.

We are already at this point in the black community and have been for a while , black men have been getting told and are expected to settle for bw with attitudes, kids and weight problems for decades

because the statistics don't support the sentiment black women have...
Absolutely zero issue with that considering the amount of black men with wives that are considerably larger than they are. And every female comes with an attitude regardless of race.
At the end of the day, all the matters is a partner that is dedicated and willing to build a family with you... if that's what you want. If you want to place additional requirements to protect yourself then by all means... hopefully it doesn't take too long.
