facts....all those black people talking about they don't like Kendrick's TPAB album, basically be on the same type of timing:scust:

Naw lol I don’t really like it and far from it but I understand it’s really a personal album for dot and don’t judge it on the same metric as most but I get it

I feel like I'm going crazy seeing people on social media who been on social media since 2010 act like they so shocked at the old shyt Tyler was saying. Were they under a rock back then or trying to act dumbfound now because they knew and still listened to his music?
:mjlol:I’m saying bruh literally said “And tell Spike Lee he’s a goddamn n!gger” in a song.

Yall gotta remember he picked up most of his fans now w/ Flower Boy when he was in his "i've grown up into a real artist" bag.
They don't know about the edgelord days and they are generally ignorant of black music

What exactly are you arguing?:dahell: y'all are arguing two opposing ideas to cover all bases

My point is nikkas trying to make this big division of Tyler fandom when it's not as true as nikkas making it out to be. Most of Tyler's fans today were fans in the OF days

What's happening here is a blind spot nikkas tend to have regarding liberals. There's this assumption that only conservative, MAGA cacs are into racist edgelord c00n humor and those are this section of Tyler fans that fell off as Tyler "matured". That shyt ain't the case

Just as many white liberals, and their token suburban black friends, love that shyt too. I'm laughing because I witnessed this in real time and now nikkas trying to wash their hands of Tyler's past and who his fans really are:mjlol:

I guarantee you there's a whole lot of Tyler fans who may be Kamala supporters and love Flower Boy and Igor and all that shyt now, that also loved b*stard and were laughing at all the edgy c00n shyt he was doing back in 2011

This whole topic is slick an exposal/ reflection on how many young black suburban kids go through a edgelord c00n phase and are trying to play that shyt off now in their later mature years

Tyler was the voice of the "The black kids made fun of me for liking rock music and Pokemon" black kids and now nikkas playing dumb:mjlol:
Yup, exactly. Ive fukked with Tyler since OF and while I did always get annoyed by the 4ch*n elements and the c00n shyt at the time, I found most of his antics otherwise funny. I was 18/19 years old

Speaking for myself as someone who was both suburban but raised by parents from the hood, and lived in a pretty diverse area, I wouldnt generalize all black suburban kids as the nerdy cac-loving folks, as the majority of them are pretty normal black people that like me are hood-adjacent...but at the same time, that nerdy part is very much more prevalent than the urban side for obvious reasons and yeah, I was definitely in danger of falling into that c00n trap but had juuuust enough sense to resist the absolute worst elements since I did always fukk with black culture anyway. But being around enough white people and posting on them 2000s era video game message boards will have you believing some dumb shyt. But if you were raised right wising up will come quicker lmao

Damn, some of yall old heads are unforgiving 😂 the nikka was like 18 and came out during the twitter era. Of course he was an edge lord. Everyone was trying be edgy or do something for attention. He realized the shyt was lame and grew the fukk up. He stopped hating himself. Yall nikkas act like he was 35 when he came out.
Why do we have to accept anti-blackness and c00ning as a “phase” every time someone gets exposed? That nikka was 18-mid 20s (Tyler is a year older than me) being a c00n on tumblr. 27 years old crying about black history month existing saying it’s unnecessary. Yall love infantilizing these c00ns. He should never know peace.

Haven’t read through this thread yet and maybe someone has brought it up, but Tyler and yall) like to pretend like he has an appreciation for black culture just because he was inspired by black artist like crackers don’t do the same.

Tyler is a self hating black man who interacts and appreciates his blackness the same way a racist white person who loves Jimi Hendrix does. He got his famous white friends (Karjenners, Hadids, Bieber and nepo Hollywood) at the peak of his c00ning and that’s why he’s never going to speak out on this - cause he gives his famous white friends the same pass on behaviors he hates seeing in his fans now.

He and his crew started out as rich (ie upper middle class in non-Coli terms) suburban kids that aimed for shock value. Thats like being a gangster in their world.

Then they grew up. Some of their fans grew up as well, others didn’t.

I don’t know why we would make it anything more than that :yeshrug:
Tyler not from the suburbs. People who grew up around him have BEEN calling bullshyt on his whole “I grew up around white kids and had different interests so the blacks hated me” since he was going at Bruno. It’s not that Tyler “grew up” - he has severely internalized anti-blackness because of his upbringing. Him addressing it by trying to play it off as something that the youth does (when he wasn’t even that young) and never addressing it for what it was is why people are on his neck right now.

He’s from the suburbs, I don’t know what that has to do with white people. Its LA.

This is Ladera Heights

With an average household income of $132,824, Ladera Heights ranks third amongst the ten wealthiest majority-Black communities in the United States.

And in middle school he was in Hawthorne, his year book photo is him and a bunch of ambiguously raced people. Very LA.

While Earl got sent to fukking Samoa when he was misbehaving by his professor mom.
I could go on, but most people know their backgrounds.

Suburban hipsters, emos and whatever trolling like that is not that deep.

Just cause you’re from the suburbs doesn’t mean that you didn’t live with black people, or in LA; Asians and Latinos as well. And it doesn’t mean that you don’t live close to poor people, or crime etc.

You can say him and :yeshrug: 's careers went opposite directions.

I don't check for his fanbase like that :whoa: but I saw him live at Coachella last year and his set was piff.
