I feel like I'm going crazy seeing people on social media who been on social media since 2010 act like they so shocked at the old shyt Tyler was saying. Were they under a rock back then or trying to act dumbfound now because they knew and still listened to his music?
Well demeaning black people was hot in the 00s and 10s.

Speaking of D'angelo, what bums me out the most about his death is he was one of the few last great black relatively young forward thinking musicians that...sounded black as hell. I love experimental, weird music as much as the next person. It's why I loved P-Funk, Outkast, MF DOOM, Digable Planets/Shabazz Palaces, Maxwell's Embyro. But all that music still sounded "black" tho, as out there as it got.

As much as I fukk with alternative r&b, sometimes I wonder if the genre itself is becoming white washed. You could make these same criticisms about The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Drake, Fka Twigs, Doja Cat, Frank Ocean, and Steve Lacy. Hip-hop & R&B for cacs that needed somewhere to go after rock completely fell off in the early 2010's.
It is becoming white washed

And the whole post was about them not respecting less popular black acts that he respects, and are instead just Tyler fans. Not all that other political stuff.
It's just like rap producers in the 90s that sampled a bunch of funk and jazz, but had fans who only wanted to people talk gangster shyt over the boom bap drums (or non gangster shyt for that matter like Tribe or so). I don't think the point is much deeper than that
And what could be the reason his fans don't respect those black acts?:mjlol:

Y'all wanna ignore "all that other political stuff" about someone who wore a Klan robe, sold blackface shirts, and begged Larry King to call him a n1gger:mjlol:

Cognitive dissonance a muthafukka

I don't fw this at all, if it was just old shyt resurfacing then that would've been fair but piggy backing off the D'Angelo tribute is just nasty.
The only reason this gained traction is because tyler got emotional and called them white folks sun dodgers on twitter and liked a tweet that was Criticizing his fans :hubie:

True but I believe he only did that because they were disrespecting D'Angelo under his post.

Why do we have to accept anti-blackness and c00ning as a “phase” every time someone gets exposed? That nikka was 18-mid 20s (Tyler is a year older than me) being a c00n on tumblr. 27 years old crying about black history month existing saying it’s unnecessary. Yall love infantilizing these c00ns. He should never know peace.

Haven’t read through this thread yet and maybe someone has brought it up, but Tyler and yall) like to pretend like he has an appreciation for black culture just because he was inspired by black artist like crackers don’t do the same.

Tyler is a self hating black man who interacts and appreciates his blackness the same way a racist white person who loves Jimi Hendrix does. He got his famous white friends (Karjenners, Hadids, Bieber and nepo Hollywood) at the peak of his c00ning and that’s why he’s never going to speak out on this - cause he gives his famous white friends the same pass on behaviors he hates seeing in his fans now.

Dude was letting his white boyfriend say the n word on his album

Nothing anyone can say to me would change my mind on him

TYLER IS A c00n
A HOMO AND fukkS WHITE MEN

WHAT TYPE OF TIME
IS THE COLI ON IN 2025?

It kills me when people bring up age, as if that means they can’t be held accountable. Old enough to vote, old enough to drink, old enough to drive but god forbid people bring up old tweets.

And despite my frustrations with the community, I NEVER went through an anti-black woman phase. And I definitely knew better than to make disparaging remarks about black people infront of CACs. I never made them feel comfortable around me to let their anti-blackness seep out.

That’s what morons like Tyler and his ilk get off on: being the black guy CACs are comfortable saying the n-word around. They feel validated that white folks “accept them”. When really they’re just used as a conduit to get off their racism.
