Tyler's current, dominant fanbase doesn't even fukk with his earlier albums. The dominant/vocal Tyler fans are from 2017 onward, so Flower Boy. Most of the people who were attracted to Yonkers and that other stuff fizzled out long ago. Same way Earl has a completely different fanbase now - he turned his old fans off by shifting direction.
I do agree that a lot of young white fans in general do not give a shyt about black music beyond modern rap. It's not that these people are edgelords, it's that they're typical zoomers (and some millennials) who don't give a shyt about researching anything. It's the same behavior of young A24 film fans who refuse to watch films that came out before 2010 lol. They don't care, man. There's certainly some racial stuff mixed in with the way white people tend to HATE classic r&b but overall we see these same types of people behave the same way about everything else. They have very narrow interests, they become obsessed with 1-3 artists, and nothing else matters to them. The rest of their "entertainment" brain capacity goes to streamers.
Go look at the insane reaction Taylor Swift stans had when somebody (negatively) compared her to Stevie Nicks a couple years ago. These kids do not give a shyt about anything but their hyper-focus (Taylor, Tyler, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Kendrick, etc).

the nikka was like 18 and came out during the twitter era. Of course he was an edge lord. Everyone was trying be edgy or do something for attention. He realized the shyt was lame and grew the fukk up. He stopped hating himself. Yall nikkas act like he was 35 when he came out.
