I'd rip what OP is saying, but my sister pretty much said the same shyt to me about him and she's about as casual of a fan as you can be at this stage of her life.

Tyler isn't an artist where you just wanna hear this one song from him. When I listen to IGOR I kinda just wind up listening to the whole thing or Chromakopia or whatever else. That doesn't mean his music isn't great. It just isn't normal, especially for someone who has become as big as Tyler. Earthquake to me is the closest thing he has to that kind of song.


I also feel like Tyler doesn't go out of his way to chase hits if that makes sense. His outside production work isn't indicative of someone who's trying to be the Neptunes that way.

I find myself playing his albums from beginning to end when I listen to him and that's a rarity for me nowadays after I give it the initial listen. His projects don't just sound like songs thrown together

A masterpiece is The Infamous, It was Written, Midnight Marauder’s, Doggystyle and if you wanna go modern College Dropout/LR/Graduation to Goodkid MadCity, Tetsuo & Youth, Dirty Sprite 2, Control System. Hell even Take Care is a more complete and more of a hip hop masterpiece that actually had cultural
Impact and will stand the test of time. None of Tyler’s albums are on the level of these.

I’m sure he has albums you like and enjoy and you may consider them classics but to call them masterpieces? Chill man lol
