One of my lifelong boys(seriously, our mothers were pregnant together and friends themselves from childhood) is currently in this situation and I'm ngl, I'm deadass highkey scared for him.

He n his wife have a gang of kids(3+) and she's never worked.

She's loves him and is hella solid(as far as I know) but carrying it all dolo financially is hella tough, and he's verbalized it(to me at least).

Legit one of the best dudes I know, loves her n the kids to pieces but my secret fear is her one day waking up n deciding its not what's best for her anymore.

His exposure is terrifying to me, but I just always speak life to him and pray for the continued thriving of their family.

You’re a good friend. I have two under six and the Wifey stays home. I can’t imagine making under 6 figures and Wife stays home though.

Continue to support him and once the youngest is going to school, maybe she will start work. I can’t imagine we pump out kids and outsource the raising/teaching. Plus day care can cost anywhere for $700-1400 a month depending on where you stay. Making $15 an hour somewhere isn’t worth the hassle. Imagine that times two or three.

My two year old just started day care this month. Luckily we found a cheap one. My soon to be five year old goes to school for free, but we need to put her in private school because of her needs.
