With all these black artist they can not come together and make their own station(s). Black folks still looking for acceptance; they rather beg the white man. Please play my song:to:; take that fast and furious money and create a station

:comeon: we all know why. Is there even a reason to point this shyt out besides wanting white acceptance?

:beli::snoop:

It's not about being accepted by white ppl. He's Tyrese. As an actor, white ppl obviously love him, otherwise he wouldnt get work.

But why should he be limited to when he has the #1 R&B song?

Timberlake, Sam Smith get the "soul" tag, and many black artists are excluded. It's not about "white acceptance", it's about exposure.

Back in the day, white ppl loved Barry White, Teddy P, on up to Boyz II Men, etc. They weren't seeking white acceptance back then, it was just good music that got played EVEYWHERE instead of being relegated to the Black station.

The reality is, ANY song at the top of any chart should get played on a mainstream station that plays a conglomerate of music

Seriously though, from my understanding of the current radio station, you literally have to pay money to have your songs be played these days. Whoever shells out the most cash, gets to be "number 1 top hit in country" for such and such time. Real talk.

Relevant news story. Its all money and "Favors" and no song is really "number 1 listened to song"

why y'all talking about white acceptance? :skip:

he doesn't give a fukk about white acceptance... he wants that white $$$, and rightfully so.
But from what I understand, they don't even get payed for being played on the radio. They have to pay the radio to play their songs. Its a money drain. Radio is there for exposure so they can make money on the record sales and concerts and just proliferation of their product.

Again, modern radio doesn't play whats popular. They play whats pushed by the record companies which usually translates to who the record company decides to back. Besides, "mainstream radio" is going the way of the doo doo bird anyways so this is becoming less and less relevant.

Lets be real though, more than likely a record company is going to pour more money into a white R&B or Rapper who is immensely successful because of inherent biases that whites will not seek out black artists in the same way and therefore it equal less money. Though...unfortunately, this is probably close to the truth :yeshrug:. Also lets face it. Those rocker white folks are the same ones who say "I hate rap besides maybe Eminem and *insert 90s rap group no one really listens to anymore to be different*". So the record companies know there is racism in most of their consumers where they'll be turning the station if Tyrese comes on compared to Justin Timberlake.

Expect fair racial treatment in the US brehs.

I agree. I noticed Em gets played on hiphop, pop AND rock stations.

Only people I know that got that (on the westcoast atleast) was Outkast, Wayne and Tupac. everyone else are only played on the hiphop station.

Beastie Boys shared this same luxury.

The only black artists that I've seen played on all station types today is Nicki Minaj, Drake, Rhianna, and sometimes Beyonce.

I will say that there are a few black artists that are never played on stations targeted toward black people

Not really tho. He's pointing out systematic racism. He's not crying about whites people not liking/buying his records. He's pointing out how white radio systematically discriminate against black artists. This also exposes socalled "black radio" and how bytchmade and complicit they are in all of it. They wouldn't dare not play white artists who make pop music.

Sad state of affairs. This is what happens when other races control the radio and music industry.

Gotta build our own Shyt and stop selling out.
Exactly. I swear some blacks in America act like the whites are their daddy and they can't survive/thrive without their daddy's love and acceptance. They're never gonna be 100% for us. And vice versa. But everyone will follow the money.
