he kinda showed his cards the last few years winning one game over two seasons. that shyt gets most coaches fired, but they stuck with him. they obviously see something with him.And would any of them ever get another job....nope. Marvin is an outlier because the Bengals are run like shyt. Similar to Jason Garrett in Dallas.
My point about Hue still stands. If Tyrod had played well and the team went 8-7-1 or 9-6-1, Hue would have a chance. No one (white) would give Tyrod all the credit, so Hue would get some shine by default. With Baker in there, the Browns could win every game from here on out and Hue could make great in-game decisions. It won't matter because Baker will be anointed the savior. BM has a couple of years of cushion because anything bad that happens will be blamed on Hue...even if it's just BM having typical young QB growing pains. When they win, BM will get all the credit.
I'm not suggesting that Hue is the next Steve Walsh or Tony Dungy, but he's in a bad spot.
he shoulda BEEN fired already if this was any other coach.
Cam Cameron went 1-15 in ONE season and was immediately fired.
Spagnuolo got fired after going 2-14 in his third season
remember Jim Tomsula?? was fired after 1 year after going 5-11
Mike Mularkey was fired after 1 year after going 2-12
Jim Mora was fired after one year in seattle after going 4-12
just some recent examples. all white coaches. but for some reason the coli only wants to look at black coaches and QBs to try and make it seem like they are treated much differently, when in reality they aren't. the only difference is that many ppl (especially on the coli) have a cognitive bias yet don't realize it or don't want to accept that.
