You're not gaining possession of the ball on a tap. The shot clock doesn't reset at that point. It resets when the person who grabs the ball possesses it so at that point it should be considered a rebound.

I will say this though for as good as Tyson is on the glass and defensively, if you 7'1 and get drafted number 2 you should at least have some sort of offensive game in the paint developed especially when you been in the league 10 plus years
