At that time I was at Carnival in Doral working in IT help desk shyt, stupid dollars with OT + bonuses
commuting in opp direction was a blessing, traffic was already a nightmare back then
Weekends consisted of club bed, mansion, and crobar. Followed by Tootsie's.

Some employers now are offering to pay 3-6 months of rent as an incentive for coming to work for them -- that's forward thinking by the employer. Only catch is, you need to stay there a minimum of 12 months.

Make wfh permanent, change the zoning laws to convert those empty office buildings into affordable housing
when would they do that when there's billions to be made from flipping them into "luxury" units. the strategy is to force everone who can't pay $2000-$4000 rent to get roommates and come up with it

Didn't need a study to get this point across out here. You're damn near better off scrounging up the down payment money for a smaller house or condo instead of renting at this point. :mjlol:

@Legal for a smaller house how much would a down payment cost?

This is what I noticed in Charlotte. 1000 dollar studios in food deserts.

On top of that all these apartments are that same weird tan paint/ brick pattern.

but the main problem is there are no large number of jobs being created to justify these cost.

If you have kids buy land in up and coming areas now. They will thank you in 20 years.

This shyt should be illegal if they label it luxury to keep it buck, the manegment companies build up a building THEY CANNOT sustain managing. After about a year half the shyt they sell you on, end ups going defunct like the garage gates, they skim out on security, nobody answers your call

Perhaps. But if said employer is paying close to $25/hr and you don't need a trade or a college degree, that's the perfect time to stack money to get an apartment, pay down debt, or start saving for a house.

Rent Caps are coming down the pike soon. Something has got to give. 1600+ a month rent but employees are paying $20 an hour and acting like they are doing folks a favor. Landlords need to be reeled in with what they are charging. Gonna come to a head.

No they're not and that's not the solution.

Feds need to put up the funding for population centers to build apartments en masse, Build units for different income levels and flood the market with inventory, forcing a correction for MFs over charging.

the problem is we are not building enough and what we are building is for $2000-$4000 x month. simple solution.
