Most men are solution-oriented.

It’s not in our nature to sit and be lectured to about some feel-good shyt when the world is outside burning around us.

The Black Church needs to reimagine itself as a problem solver in the community, using scripture to guide.

Men will gravitate to the work being done.

But, asking men to show up so they can get their weekly dose of feel-good messaging is falling out of favor fast.

If you go you will find there is work that is male oriented. Most women in these churches want to see more men in them leading. It all comes down to submitting yourself to God. It doesn't have anything to do with what people don't like about the church. They just don't want to submit to God. They want to do things their own way.

But if anybody still wants to be seduced by Jezebel and pulled away from the church that's on them.

Good...:camby: all these black churches and these creflo dollars running around aint doing shyt for the black community... this was a foregone conclusion that the youth would stop believing in this bullshyt..

bruh for every Creflo Dollar and TD Jakes there are thousands of pastors who live normal lives who probably just preach because they like it.

I’m not religious and haven’t been to church regularly in like 14 years but I know it can play an important part in the community.

Y’all swear every pastor lives in a mansion and drives a luxury car :mjlol:

Every time I’ve passed a church or mosque they’ve had signs for food pantries and free clothes giveaways. The church does more good than bad

Society changes swiftly. I personally need an anchor in my life. Something that remains unchanged, like a rock, is familiar, and I know what to expect. Also, something that links me to the people that came before me. A sense of tradition. For me, that's the church.

That’s not it. Most Black men believe in God.

Women say they want more Black men in church, but they also know the status quo would be totally different if upright Black men were in there checking the pastor and holding people accountable.

Church wouldn’t be as “enjoyable” for a lot of women under those circumstances.

When they say they want more men in the church, they want more men just physically present to potentially be mates.

We all know last thing a lot of pastors want in the church right now is men who are analytical and practice accountability.

Here in Atlanta, and surrounding cities, I see many churches always giving away food, with food drives, to those that need it.

It’s not just the mega churches doing this either. The church has been a net positive for the black community, throughout our time here in the US. A lot of men have given up on the church, but I need to get both myself and my daughter back in the church. It’s needed more than ever, especially for her, with the times we’re living in.

No reason to check a pastor that's teaching the bible in the first place. So what's your point? If you put yourself in that position to be under somebody that isn't teaching from the bible that's your fault. You get that corrected yourself by going somewhere else. That's part of the problem with some of the churches today. People always trying to make the church into what they want it to be instead of becoming what the scripture tells you to be.

No church will be 100% perfect because nobody is 100% perfect. And somebody lying to themselves saying they need to be in 100% perfect church will always have problems finding a church to be a regular member at. You always run into imperfect people that need God's help. You're going to find people you don't click with. You're going to find people with family issues and personal issues. That's why the church is around, to be a place where people help each other, encourage each other, and build their faith to do things the way God is telling you to.

I’d rather set my lineups and enjoy Fantasy Football on my Sunday

Most men just want that Sunday to chill with the fellas and watch football before getting back to the weekday grind.

If i’m not mistaken, not going to church isn’t a ticket to hell.

You are mistaken. You won't learn how to avoid hell by sitting at home.

It ain't got anything to do with being afraid of hell. Reality is you will wish you listened to somebody if you ever get a chance to experience what was only meant for fallen angels. Skip out on learning about what God said and you'll have a front seat. The worst experience on earth is nowhere near as bad as it will be for a person destined to eternity in tormnent.

Reality is waiting to smack some folks in the face. Reality for the unbeliever after this life is terrible.

:laff: because I can’t read the bible at home?

please give me the book, chapter, and verse where it says go to church or you will go to hell.

The bible even says where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them. It doesn’t specify a church or any other building.
