The U.S. military didn't need to leave Afghanistan. I'm fairly certain that they could have had some presence indefinitely. Sure they would be catching strays the entire time but that's what occupation often is. I'm not advocating for that, I don't think the U.S. had any business invading Afghanistan or Iraq.
The US did need to leave. It was a complete and utter failure. The taliban was never defeated and the US failed to establish a western/Democratic government. We were spending $45 billion annually just to occupy a mountainous wasteland. During the early years it was over $100 billion annually. And we’re still paying for it. :wow:

While I somewhat agree with your statement, I would be HARD-PRESSED :comeon: to believe the US, doesn't have "cutting-edge" military tech, we just haven't wielded yet. We went to war with those "goat-herders" with our basic weaponry, IMO. I'm sure our military would "pull out" if we had to go to war with China or Russia. They're well aware of the numbers/population advantage those countries have, alone. Stealth came out in the 70s.

The Nuclear bomb, in the 40s or 50s. WTH do you think they've invented since then? Mind you...you see the military budget on a yearly basis. The US plays coy when it comes to real war, until it's time to go frfr. I'd argue all these unexplainable UFO sightings defying physics, (throughout and around the US), is unreleased tech, from our military.
I think everyone got some type of trump card they ain’t revealed yet, and I think it’s weird how people been predicting the Asia pacific war for years now, somebody got something that makes them feel confident in a fight

Back in the days, they lived off of the propaganda and reputation of having a powerful military force…

Russia has been getting their ass kicked by an inferior nation significantly smaller than them for years and you have the gall to say this. Any noteworthy Euro nation with a standing army would smoke them.

Wake me up when any super power military can get invaded by a band of rebels who make it all the way to the capitol.

How so? They’re fighting against the entire NATO alliance and are still winning the war.

The most overestimated military is the United States who has lost every military conflict it’s been involved in since WW2 despite spending ungodly sums of money annually. Russia is fighting an actual standing army and is winning meanwhile the US spent $20 trillion and 20 years to fight goat herders in flip flops and lost :dead:
Not quite. There are limitations to Ukraine deployment of weapons. These are defensive only. Which has forced Russia into a stalemate. But the most important development is their seeking out N Korea for arms and men.
They are far from taking on NATO.

This is simply not true. US weapons have been used by Ukraine to attack targets inside of Russia.

If doesn’t matter if they’re offensive or defensive weapons, they’re still resources that Russia has to fight against.

NATO says Russia is taking on NATO. I think I’ll take their word over message board opinions.
