does it matter at this point? Deficit goes up with every president and there's no plans to stop any time soon. Democrats arent exactly the party of low spending either so the moneys gone regardless who wins



Repubs just blow the money on the military

It's not about deficits. It's about Republican hypocrisy.

Also, I would rather increased government spending going primarily towards single payer universal healthcare, public education, public infrastructure and protecting the environment rather than the military.

The timing is ridiculous, as well. To balloon the deficit in the late stages of an economic cycle and leave yourself no room to maneuver fiscally in the next coming recession is beyond irresponsible.
