That's why it's easy for them to consider punishing a smoker for being addicted to nicotine, despite the fact that they may be in dire financial straits and that every dollar they have is critical, they look at charts detailing the impact on the healthcare system and "increasing costs". Simple solution don't smoke inside or better yet quit smoking. It's not like there aren't resources.

Why not advocate for a ban on fatty foods in public housing? Heart disease is the largest killer of people in the United States by a factor of 10. Alcohol ban? Why not? Why not give the recipients of public housing a Whole Foods voucher

If you can't smoke in the stairwell, lobbies, or the apartments, I'm 100% sure there is going to be a smoke free zone implemented around the residence. Which makes that the policies domain to enforce.

the sad part is this having to be legislated at ALL..Growing Up all the adults in my family who smoked always went outside..No Goverment offical was needed to tell them such a common sense thing.

Odd how you ignore the fact that smoking is different from diet in one crucial way...a greasy food glutton or Alcoholic is only killing HIMSELF...whereas the indoor smoker is killing all of you as well....and the youngest are the most vulnerable.
