Can you provide links substantiating the bolded? Thanks, it would be greatly appreciated.
im sure i could, but im not gonna bother. just did a google and there's plenty of links on the first page

i'm combining all the anecdotal evidence ive gathered over the years, with the FACT that driving uber is a choice and tons of people make that choice. i have never run across a single uber driver that wants to be told when to drive it like a normal employee is told when to go to work :yeshrug:i'd actually ask you to provide the evidence saying that the majority of uber drivers want to shift to the employee model where they're told when to drive.

So first you don't provide links to your arguments, even though by your admission doing so would be easy. And then you ask me to provide evidence for a argument I did not make. Thus, it seems as though you are not engaging in good faith. But I could be wrong in my presumptions, and so again I would greatly appreciate some links substantiating your initial arguments.

i didn't ask you to do anything, i don't know who you are. but here you go;

please provide the link where the majority of uber drivers have asked the government to step in and classify them as employees who have to clock in on a schedule

Again why should I provide that link considering I have not made an argument regarding Uber drivers classification?

yall can both go to the subreddit for Uber drivers and get plenty of firsthand accounts of how drivers feel about this.

i will :ehh:

my perception was that most uber drivers truly do not want to be put on a schedule as opposed to driving whenever they want. if i'm wrong, i'm wrong

edit: nope, i wasnt wrong :dead:

Not going lie, was listening to a podcast this weekend and even billionaires are legit worried about the state of inequality, because they know what's next when people collectively feel powerless, they go for those in power and those who are wealthy.

Shout out to France for starting the revolution

can someone explain why this isnt between the drivers and uber :dahell:its none of our business

tons of drivers kill it on uber and dont need the government fukking with their money/schedule. and if you're a grown ass man who cant do the math and figure out if its worth it then just dont drive

and none of these drivers WANT to be classified as employees, because then theyd have to work assigned hours instead of turning it on and off whenever they feel like it
The truth is most don't really kill when you break it down.

Sure some maybe bring in a decent revenue but their expenses outweigh their profit.

With that said I agree with your premise. That this should be between Uber and the drivers.

sounds like they're doing it wrong and shouldn't bother :yeshrug: its not my business if a grown ass man makes the choice to drive uber if he's not making money off it. way too many people have made the choice that it's worth their time to drive uber

dont get me wrong, im all for them getting paid more. but i see no scenario where the government forces that to happen without completely fukking it up :dead: california is welcome to prove me wrong

Because you can’t treat independent contractors like employees and not pay benefits and collect payroll taxes

Uber was fukked before this anyway
