uber and lyft both have shytty business models. the whole ride-sharing business is a bad one. uber and lyft will obviously be around but they are way over valued. their stock should be lower.

there's really no competitive edge over each other because they offer the same service. the only thing they can do is offer cheaper rides but that will hurt their bottomline. self-driving cars will not be here for another 10+ years and restaurants are cutting grubhub and uber eats out since they take too much of a cut. just not looking good for the industry.

It won't die, but I see rideshare becoming just a side hustle for ordinary car owners to get some gas money, like they originally intended it to be. These prices don't work for full-time cabbies. Those will break off and do their own apps soon. The market's already split like that in parts of Europe
