I drive Uber and Lyft at the same time, and I make 17 - $22 an hour doing it. I occasionally I have days where I work 3 hours and make $75 including tips. This is straight Sedan and carpool Service. Furthermore, I'm in Atlanta, where they only pay $0.64 a mile once Uber and lyft take their cut.

I do have tip signs that I copped off Amazon though. I drive a midsize SUV, and I dont even spend 3.37 per hour on gas. :russ:

I do wish that less people did it full time though. It would be more money for everyone due to surges, bonuses, Etc

Had a lyft driver when I was in Vegas two months ago that drove from LA to set up shop. He would stay at a cheap hotel off the strip a few days to a week at a time and :eat:

Despite his stories of driving rappers and thots around , I knew he wasn't raking in that much.

depends on the city, activities and surges....part time uber on certain days and times can be easily $150 for like 2-3 hrs of work in the right city. \

The real disgusting part is no insurance no unemployment no recourse for protection no all kinds of shyt, but its still classified as "employment" to cook our employment numbers books smh

Yea, I'd love to see a reporter delve into that issue. Are insurance companies balking at paying claims for uber drivers? Are drivers being left holding the bag in any significant way? Do any actually notify their insurance company to properly adjust their coverage?

It's not "some" it's half! Half the people make more than the median half the people make less than the median. Half of the rideshare drivers making less than $3.37/hr is pretty sobering.

Now that could still be misleading, cuz it could be skewed by a large number drivers who barely worked. Also it's including commute and down time which make that calculated hourly rate not comparable to minimum wage or the hourly pay rate of other jobs that jumps into people's head when they read this figure.

that makes zero sense

you time is how much you charged drivers should be allowed to make their own fare

if the drivers all quit, they would have to raise the pay or charge the customer more

the service should really cost more than a cab fare because its more convenient, if you can't afford it you shouldn't use it

you're attitude is whats wrong with americans, you don't appreciate service

the fact you are summoning a human being to come pick up at a whim is something you don't even deem valuable or have any respect for

yet before uber people would pay high as cab fares because they had no choice

This. Is. Facts.
