No.

That is pure advertisement. Its exploitation. And it comes with the knowledge that if Uber wasn't skimmed off the top, middle, and a part of the bottom - you would make 3x as much.

Please explain how you would make 3x as much. What is this in comparison to? You wouldnt make 3x as much driving a cab. You wouldn't make 3x as much having your own independent single vehicle service. You wouldnt make 3x times as much creating your own app and ride share service.

So exactly where is this triple the profits coming from?

Now that I think about it
Uber shouldn’t even be in business
They lose billions of dollars every year, that’s inefficient, and Tesla is probably gonna pull ahead of them with the autonomous car market because I can see people with really high income using them personally instead of an Uber (rappers are gonna ride those like carriages through the hood tho, imagine drop top autonomous Teslas).
After a few years I’d just ax that business because a multiple Billis is just mind boggling when that’s how most smaller businesses exit, I’m understanding what to big to fail really means now.

I honestly would rather ride a train than Uber, makes me wish Jacksonville had an actual metro service, this big ass city with all this land and horrible transportation, makes Uber long as expensive.

They're already bleeding money as a company, so I'm not surprised. This model just isn't sustainable even with treating their drivers as independent contractors.

Imperium of Man
California has the worst business climate. Airbnb, Uber, Lyft and Tesla all moving headquarters out. High cost of living, rampant homelessness and crazy taxes. What is the point of living in Cali?
California bets heavy on its beauty, progressive values, laid back lifestyle, and huge population. The latter is probably the most influential on business. It's the reason gun manufacturers bother making CA compliant rifles. CA has a huge economy. It's expensive because there is high demand.

I personally love living here. I'll put up with the bullshyt for the beaches and weather alone.:yeshrug:

what'd they do? :picard:

Man, like what happened to another poster they pulled off on me on numerous occasions. Downtown fresh from the Falcons game, me and my boy walk down to the corner and call a cab, right off the bat it was a 35 minute wait, so we already mad. bytch ass driver pulls up, we take a step to open the door as he spots a white family maybe 30 feet up the street, and he speeds off to pick them up. Motherfukker almost ran over my foot. So we call the cab company and they swear thats not what happened and we have a ride on the way, they call back 5 minutes later saying something happened with the original driver (yeah the fakkit pulled off on us) and another will be around in 20 minutes. This time we not even sure which clown passed us by as he must have spotted us from down the street but we saw numerous white people getting picked up but not us. We actually heard one white couple say "Oh that was fast, they told us 20 minutes but it hasnt even been 5 ". Eventually a white lady and her kids saw what was happening and she said when her cab comes she will open the door but she will hold it for us and we can split it. So now we off to the side like we aint trying to look for a ride on some deception shyt and once her cab arrives we hop in that bytch looking at the driver like :krs:. This dude literally looked at us like :wtf: and we back there :umad: , Emily and the kids on some :smugbiden:. We paid for that ladies fare, gave the kids a buck each, and gave that driver zero tip.

fukk em. Thats not the only time they fukked me over on a ride either.

I dont mess with Ethiopians on any level to this day.

Stop. People want labor protections and flexibility. It's not "both ways" its "the way it should be in a civilized society."

You've let yourself be poisoned by rhetoric from a bunch of people who profit off of exploitation.

“Labor protection” is a misnomer. It’s not protection it’s employment. That is exactly what Uber drivers don’t want. They want freedom and flexibility. How about stopping these word games.

No obviously it’s not. These companies only exist because they can pay their workers like absolute shyt AND not pay any benefits

if they have to pay that regularly, they can’t afford any random person being a driver and having access to that. Which makes them have to cut staff, employ drivers, and raise rates to not lose more money than they already are........

that’s called a taxi service and that’s who they been undercutting this entire time. They’d put themselves right in competition with them

They work for themselves with their own cars.

Uber is a platform.

Undercutting? Bro, it’s called capitalism.

Cancels out your whole argument.

I can tell you're not that bright.

Uber drivers are broke and working to make money, "freedom and flexibility" are not why they're doing it :mjlol:

There are Uber drivers nationwide working to collectively bargain.

Not bright huh? Sure about that comrade?

Let me drop some actual data on you and your economically challenged friends:

Screen-Shot-2015-12-07-at-9.16.26-AM-768x940.png

49% of Uber drivers use it as a supplement. 20% more as a secondary major source of income.

Sounds a hell of lot like freedom and flexibility don’t it?

But let you and the rest of coli communist club tell it the Uber drivers are all struggling and living out of their cars.:mjlol:

Are you dumb? Did you read anything I said?

Dude said Lyft should stay in Cali. I said if they have to pay employees and benefits THEN THEY WONT BE WORKING FOR THEMSELVES ANYMORE. Because now they’d be W-2 employees

that would drive costs up for Lyft. Who instead of undercutting the taxis, would now have to compete with them because all the money they paid out

I’m not sure what you thought you was reading. But your response isn’t for me
