I'd rather have a human driver than a machine which can malfunction and drive me off a cliff... :pachaha:
That's not how things like Telsa work. You're alerted to keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times and you can take over control at any time. If your hands are off for too damn long that shyt will pull over. Now that could be an L if you pull over in the middle of Klan country while you're asleep.

So what.....Uber is a $60 billion company. If they can't equip their vehicles to respond to other drivers on the road, then the shyt is worthless. Real life driving isn't a perfectly simulated environment. You got drivers swerving in and out of lanes, nikkas running red lights, speeding, hitting u-turns when they weren't supposed to, driving 2 inches off your bumper when they supposed to give you 5 feet, etc. So everything on the road has to be perfect or else that Uber car is gonna crash huh :pachaha:

I'm not saying they don't have an obligation to improve or perfect their technology, but dudes in here are having a conniption like automated cars will never work and that they don't trust them :russ: almost every crash an automated vehicle has been involved in is because of human drivers being too aggressive/not paying attention.

Once the technology gets on point enough.. they will probably just make some laws to start declining the number of human drivers.

How that going to work lmfao:russ: people gotta get to work and go out. They would riot if the govt took away personal cars

And I agree automation is inevitable but I don't see the govt helping. I see politicians delaying or blocking it to reduce job loss in their areas

They will...its called incrementalism....

start slow with removing a few at a time...raise the price of gasoline, reduce its supply
Giving tax credits to the people who willingly give up their vehicles, Raising the prices on new vehicles,Increasing the Emissions and MPG ratings on old car inspections.

Throw in some PSAs by hollywood liberals about how you can save the planet by using Automated UBER or whatever company is around...

They can clear the major cities of drivers in just a few years.

Uber will be completely autonomous in 10 years.

Uber Probably Won't Be Around In 10 Years lol

Even Trollys That Run On 1 Continuious Track Cant Be Trusted To Be Automated, Let Alone A Damn Car

We Have Actual HUMANS Who Have Driven Into Lakes Cause Google Maps Told Them Too, Imagine An Automated Car lol

If Automated Modes Of Transportation Is Gonna Happen It's Gonna Be Trains And Trams First

Cars Have Long Way To Go

Of course it's Uber's fault...Their using the tech in their cars so the responsibility falls on them. Best believe their going to cut someone a check for that fukk up.
Did you read the article? It was the other driver, the human driver, that caused the issue.
They failed to follow driving protocol.
It was not the driver-less car that caused the issue?
