Jameis is a freaking sociopath, but that doesn't have any bearing on his ability as a QB.

Dude's gonna be one hell of a QB in the pros. I wish the Steelers would somehow get him. Dude's smarter than Big Ben and has a lot of the same attributes including the propensity for rape.

Also ESPN and hodge leave out the ankle injury. Look at the throws he made against ND with pressure. Look at the breakdown by Louisville coach and how he said they did not want to pressure them because he is the best against pressure.

Like I said ESPN narrative....fukk facts.

Again, I'm not making it about race, fam. He's heavy footed, has trouble stepping up in the pocket to throw, do you know how many QBs that can be applied to? I like Merrill Hoge a lot compared to the majority of the talking heads on ESPN when it comes to football. He knows his shyt. But this goes beyond him. Whenever there's a high profile black QB with high draft prospects, they're automatically compared to a black QB that came before them. It's lazy analysis. We can't compare this guy to Michael Vick cause he's not as agile...fukk it, he's Byron Leftwich:yeshrug:It's lazy as hell, man

Got to get them clicks and viewership man. I am on my mobile phone but someone needs to post this young mans numbers over the last two years vs. The blitz compared to 4 man rush. He is not leftwich or bledsoe.

Florida exposed Winston both years he faced us as a QB who looks funny in the light if you breathe on em :yeshrug:

Eh. I thought he played very well his freshman year against Florida. Yea Florida's offense was so bad it kept giving FSU possessions. Still as a RS FR in that environment/rivalry game he played well.

He looked like a disaster against them this past season though.

He's long legged and not overly quick. He just has to really work to improve his footwork and he'll have no problems. There were times where he just relied on his smarts and arm last year instead of setting/resetting his feet. Probably due to the suspect Oline.

He played them well his freshman year. But he last year he didn't play them as well. Still it means nothing cause Peyton struggled against Florida every year and always has looked like trash with pressure. Same as Brett farve.

The key for jameis is to be able to read the defense and read pressure and get rid of the ball. He will never be Wilson or McNabb or young. But you don't need to be in this league. Him not playing baseball will help and changing his throwing motion.

Last year FSU had issues with the OL and the coach dumb ass was not running the ball to protect him. Plus the freshman WRs sucked.

The most important thing that Tampa can do is support the young man (give him weapons and keep his weapons). Don't start running dump shyt like read options getting him killed. Play to the team strengths....if the OL sucks don't run 7 step drops. And last actually have some consistency when it comes to the OC let him have the same OC for years so he can grow in the system. These things are the most important if they want the young man to succeed.

Just watched the clip of Draft Academy with Jameis. George Whitfield (his QB coach) pointed out a lot of the same flaws :yeshrug:

He's polished him up though. His footwork looks much better as well as his release.

@lucky lefty

Pointed out a lot of mechanical flaws that Jimbo should have cleaned up :francis:

Jimbo didnt want Jameis working with him this last off season either. :mjpls:

I've never seen these "analysts" compare a black quarterback to a non-black quarterback. There have been far more non-black QBs in the league than black ones. So surely if you're an "analyst" at some point a black QB would come around whose game compared closely to the hundreds of non-black QBs that have played in the league. And before someone comes in here on some "Why are you making this about race" bullshyt, I'm not. I'm making it about lazy "analysis".

didnt you know that the first rule of sports journalism is you arent allowed to compare black players to white players or white players to black players

heard on local sports talk the host being concerned about if jameis can be successful in today's nfl bc of his slow 40 time and apparent lack of athleticism

laughable how thinly veiled that racism is

i would like one example of a white qb being questioned about his 40 time and how it relates to his potential nfl success

essentially people arguing about his 40 are saying "black qb's have to be athletic to be successful but white qb's dont because they can rely on intelligence and savvy"

it is an opinion that is pretty transparent in its ignorance and is annoying to hear in player analysis

This is my issue with the NFL. If a black QB can't run like a cheetah then he is worthless in folks eyes. If he throws from the pocket.....he needs to know how to run to make more plays

I will never forget the game that Jason Campbell played against the eagles and Joe buck with sweet booty Troy Aikman criticized that dude for not running throughout the game. I was watching the game and saying what the fukk do they mean.....Jason Campbell is slow as hell. Dude isn't mike Vick.
