Smith died on May 18, 2002 at the age of 39, after suffering a heart attack while on vacation in Invermere, British Columbia with his girlfriend, Bruce Hart's ex-wife Andrea. An autopsy revealed that past anabolic steroid use may have played a part in his death; however, no certain reason was found. Bruce Hart claimed "Davey paid the price with steroid cocktails and human-growth hormones."[33] Before his death, Smith had been training with the intent of resuming his career, and had wrestled in three tag team matches with his son, Harry Smith, the previous weekend.

shoot. i remember rumors as far back as '91-92, when he took his 1st hiatus. i didnt believe em tho, but i ate up those '95 rumors. cant deny.

but to go back to his 1st hiatus. i think that his return in '92 is what sparked the "theres more than 1 warrior" rumors. cuz he came back smaller(mustve been off the roids). plus. he was always on some "wipe me down" chit. he stayed switching up his hairstyles like he was black.

What? He took a bunch of pills and decided to take a walk to the car and expected to drop dead. Most people who commit suicide are found settled in some fashion rather it would be behind closed doors or outside hanging on a tree. Most likely not a spontaneous situation where you collapse outside in front of your car

The suicide stuff is false.

Looking more and more like a massive heart attack. He was with his wife in Arizona when it happened.

The Ultimate Warrior "clutched his chest" moments before he collapsed at an Arizona hotel Tuesday afternoon ... this according to law enforcement sources who spoke with witnesses.

TMZ has learned ... Warrior was walking down a hallway at the Gainey Suites Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ and headed toward his car with his wife -- when he stopped, clutched his chest and went down.

We're told Warrior never recovered.

Sources connected to the situation tell us officials believe Warrior suffered a "catastrophic medical event" and so far, we're told there is no evidence to show drugs or alcohol were a factor in his death. All signs point to massive heart attack.

We're told an investigation is underway. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner tells us the autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
