Walton was a hippie, when healthy he balled. LSD is a hell of a drug
I broke my wife outta that shyt.James bought into that "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" conservative dogma. He probably believed in it because of his childhood circumstances.
Yep and Kareem called him out for that sideways comment he said about black women.

shyt was tragic... Dude was okay with the status quo and didn't want any trouble.
Ali called him an Uncle Tom![]()

James Brown supported Nixon too.
Black folks shat on JB so bad for it that they started protesting at his shows.
JB had his wake up call too when Nixon stopped letting him in the white house after using him. Led JB to produce this cut.

I don’t get involved in politics,” he once said. “I just blow my horn.”James Brown was Malcolm X compared to superc00n Louis Armstrong

“I can’t understand it. I have not taken part in any protests. Nor have I joined an organization fighting segregation. Why should they attack me? I’d just like to forget about the whole thing,” said Cole regarding his attack.Dude sang "what a wonderful world" while nikkas were getting killed fighting for civil rights.
Nat King Cole was on that shyt too, even though he endured crazy racism in the South (he was assaulted on stage, threats, radios refusing to play his songs, etc).
These nikkas were so scared of the Civil Rights Movement failing, they were willing to defend the status quo.
Nat King Cole defending the status quo after getting assaulted on stage was one of those GOAT c00ning moments“I can’t understand it. I have not taken part in any protests. Nor have I joined an organization fighting segregation. Why should they attack me? I’d just like to forget about the whole thing,” said Cole regarding his attack.
His comments prompted NAACP legal counsel Thurgood Marshall to consider him an “Uncle Tom.” NAACP members rejected Cole’s insistence on playing segregated shows and considered him a traitor. After years of berating, Cole would eventually join the Civil Rights Movement and was an active participant of the legendary 1963 March On Washington.

Many nikkas weren't on board with MLK and the Civil Rights movement, especially well-off blacks who feared a white backlash. They were just fine with the old system of Jim Crow and discrimination. Now I can't un-read anything I just read.![]()
