I would have to live in a country that isn't actively trying to stop me from making money for starters. I've always been in a survival mode.

Given how goofy the general public is, do you think more or less are doing ok especially given 10% of the population earns 100k or more, and it gets a lot smaller the higher up you go
I think most people with a 100k car are doing ok.

Broke boys couldn’t even find someone to loan them 100k for a car

What's the note on a $100,000 car? :picard: Got to be 1500$ with these interest rates.

I mean, I see a lot new Escalades and other 100k vehicles all around DC of course. I make good money, a good bit over 6 figures. I've been having the car itch for a while. I've had my Maxima almost 7 years, it's been great, but I'm ready to stunt and shine again, but some reason, I'm having a hard time thinking about purchasing a car for over 50k to be honest. I have an old van too. I've had 2 vehicles for a while, so I'm the type to get 2 vehicles (maybe 65k and 35k) over getting one 100k car.

If I can finance the vehicle myself without the bank ....

I think there is a bit of confirmation bias. You probably notice 100k cars more than your average nissan, less than 5% of the cars are probably above $75k, so the math kind of checks out.
The DTI limit for an auto loan is around 50% and they only factor in minimum credit card payments. So if you make around $5k/mo ($60k/yr) have rent as $1k, you can probably get away with $1.5k/mo car payment. It's stupid as hell but that's how they get you.

None. Simply because the vehicles I like won’t get to be that much. I’m a Chevy man through and through. A Silverado or Camaro that I like won’t cost that.

If I can’t get that, I’m content with a Toyota or Honda of some sort
