I know a guy that bought Jeep Trackhawk for around 80k I believe, I didn't ask how much he's paying for it monthly but I know he brings close to 100k from his job.

Thing is, he still lives in the projects

In his situation, I would rather move out to a better apartment or buy a house at this point. It's not my money and I'm not trying to judge him or anything but I would definitely not buy such an expensive car if I were in his shoes.
By living in the projects he’s taking home most of that $100K though :hubie:

I think there is a bit of confirmation bias. You probably notice 100k cars more than your average nissan, less than 5% of the cars are probably above $75k, so the math kind of checks out.
The DTI limit for an auto loan is around 50% and they only factor in minimum credit card payments. So if you make around $5k/mo ($60k/yr) have rent as $1k, you can probably get away with $1.5k/mo car payment. It's stupid as hell but that's how they get you.
chances are no one making 60k has a 100k car loan.

and thinking just cause has something expensive means they don’t know how to manage their money is hate and It shows up alot on this site

I'm about to cop an e63 AMG. Just built it on Mercedes. Right around 98k.

Spent last year net saving the payment along with my regular savings and spending to make sure it wouldn't affect the family...

Trade in around 10k and I'll finance the rest.
nikkas is financing 88k for a whip :picard:

True but he's been living there since the early 2010s, I think at this point he deserves to have a decent apartment
He should stay in the jects and stack for a house

100K salary in the PJ’s is crazy his bread would stack quick for a house down payment if he really dedicate himself to saving

I probably wouldn't for a car. I almost did from that Mercedes EQS SUV. But I rather just buy a boat for that money. I can get a nice 27ft center console for that price

I'd have to be filthy fukking rich, like, $100 million of straight cash actively at hand-type of wealth.

I personally think that a Genesis or Covette C8 would suffice for me up until that amount of wealth.
