The reviews here made me NOT buy the game. Sucks as I was planning on buying a console and the game as I have not played any boxing video game in years
I still play it from time to time.

Is it the best boxing game ever? No, but it gets the job done.

I'd give it a 70 if I was rating it. Gameplay is fun to me, career mode is lacking.

Being a boxing fan and this being the only current boxing game are the reason's I still play this, it's a damn shame this game is so underwhelming :francis:

When this mod drops, I'll abandon the game

I may give the career mode another try after seeing the new update. The first career mode I started I had to fight the same fighters like 4 or 5 times :hhh: It got old and stale extremely quick. At least now I can create fighters and add them to the career mode to make up for the lack of roster.

There are so many things they can add to this game to make it more enjoyable.

- Allow us to see who our opponent is choosing in online matches. This will prevent the amount of mirror matches that take place. Unless you are fighting heavyweight it’s the same matchups over and over. Crawford vs Crawford, Canelo vs Crawford, maybe a Sugar Ray vs Crawford over and over again. This will also make it easier for us to test out the lower rated guys. No one is willing to do that now cause you are likely fighting the top 3 rated guys in the weight class.

- Downloadable create a fighters should be an option. Even on fight night for PS3 you could download the most popular created fighters from online users. Makes it easier to deal with the lack of fighters.

- allow combined weight classes in offline fight modes. In UFC you can mess around and put the heaviest guy on the roster against the smallest. Its a videogame why am I being limited in my potential matchups? I understand for online fights but offline there is no reason to have this limitation. I should be able to put Claressa Shields up against any of the men :troll:…. But on a serious note combined weight class option will allow for more matchups. I dont even think you can have Jake Paul fight Canelo with the current weight class set up.

- The commentary is some of the worst I have experienced in a sports game. Not only is there a lack of dialogue which leads to the same comments being made through out the fight, but there is no logic to what is being said or when it is being said. You’ll usually hear “ I thought we’d see a little more action” 10 seconds into the fight or “ the judges are going to score that round for you know who”….No I dont know who :what: be a little more specific.

- How is there no clinch in this game? A boxing game on PS5 in 2025 has no way to clinch when you are hurt? Crazy thing is one fight I got rocked and the commentators were repeating “He needs to clinch!” :why:

I could go on and on but those few changes would make the game far better than it currently is.

Previous time I checked in on this game people were saying and needed an update and those were scheduled to be happening and some patches or something, what's the status of this game now?

There have been a few patches, elements of the game have gotten better but overall the game still needs a lot of work.

Turki Alalshikh and Ring Magazine have announced a boxing game

And I literally suggested somewhere in this thread perhaps that they just buy undisputed, you can see the development nightmare that goes into boxing I think this game is a work incomplete that just needs to be picked up and finished

We all saw what happened with the Devel Sixteen ... Be ashamed for these efforts to end up in development purgatory, I do think they should just buy undisputed and fix it or maybe might be too difficult to fix without the same team involved those case maybe just buy the team
