Obviously no one really understands how time works but I don’t think it works how most people believe like there’s one singular time line that can be manipulated.

I figure you’d be able to change a specific timeline but that wouldn’t apply to your own timeline. You would just make a different one altogether but the events in your time line would play out the same.

Outside of some max Payne shyt, I don’t think it would be all that powerful compared to other superpowers. Unless you had some type of spidey sense or some shyt to complement it because if something happened too quick like a dedicated strike against you that obliterated you instantly, how would that power help you if you didn’t see it coming?

Pausing, rewinding or going forward in time has basically no drawbacks. Especially if whenever you touch anything you can apply your power to it. Making a plant grow faster, making yourself age backwards, reversing an injury. Pausing when you have deadlines.

I've never seen that shyt actually backfire except from when a person gets stuck in a time period they dont wanna be in. When you have full control over that power you're unstoppable.

Finna write a story where a breh goes back in time and undoes slavery and colonialism

Immortality makes all other superpowers irrelevant. Including time control :yeshrug:

I dunno about this. A time control dude has power over you before you were even born. You might fck around with the wrong guy and have your great-great grand daddy pushed off a cliff.:russ:

Also, even when facing non-superpower problems you are incredibly weak to being contained. immortality can be curse.
  • Its game over for you if you are burried in a landslide
  • or fall into a deep body of water
  • or even if somebody just puts you in a box/cage and walks way.
  • With no ability to die, you are stuck wherever you were contained for eternity. You are Effectively starving/suffocating and then soon regenerating yourself into-the-same-position for all of time.

Time is supreme. :wow:

I agree. It’s the power I would want above all. Imagine if you could freeze time. You could over come anything just about.
@Luck , do you think this could fix the problem you mentioned? nothing sneaks up on you if nothing is moving at all. Assuming that you yourself could move when time stops, then you are safe from everything and every one. And you got infinite time to plan/predict sht.

You could pause time for an instant but spend millennia analyzing the world around you; and then press play and start things up once you know you are safe.

Too easy for time control guy to fukk up and end up in the wrong era or place (i.e. before earth had oxygen or in a nest of velociraptors).

Since he has no immortality, one simple mistake and his chapter is over. All that power wasted.

Also has to deal with time paradoxes. Such as changing even little details could cause huge and unexpected ripple effects in the future. He could accidentally kill his mom or alter time in ways that can’t be fixed.

Nah I’ll take immortality.

I mean, even with current tech a drone would dead you instantly, like I mentioned earlier unless you had some type of psychic ability or intel about it, how would you even know to stop time before this event occurred?

You couldn’t just go into the future and look because whatever do differently alters that specific timeline. I don’t believe time is one static line you can hop out of and nothing really indicates that. Like what people said, if you go back and accidentally get yourself killed what happens? I’ll tell you, that timeline you’d be dead but an infinite amount of other timelines would branch off based on what changes you made.

Now if you could pull your alternates out of timelines then this gets interesting but then that presents a myriad of other issues because what if you and a different version of you don’t align because you don’t have the same experiences that shaped you both individually? No one’s the same person they were 5, 10 or whatever amount of years ago. Idk man, this is complex shyt…
