My experience at the hbcu was pretty smooth overall:yeshrug:

But I technically never lived on campus so there's that.

I did hear horror stories from my fellow classmates though. Especially the folks from out of state when it came to dealing with scholarships not going through and other financial aid issues.

I knew a couple people who changed their residency status in order to avoid all the bullshyt.

Hbcus do their students a disservice when they don't follow through with things.
Hopefully with the increase of interest in hbcus among black youth, the administration at these schools will step their game up, but I'm not optimistic

I did this after my sophomore year. Technically, I was an out of state student at T.

Big ups to my grandparents and their church for vouching for me and saying that I was an upstanding citizen of their town :wow:

UNCC students scramble to find place to stay while apartments still under construction

It ain't just HBCUs feeling the pinch lol. Construction taking longer than expected across the board.

I remember at Hampton you would know your housing assignment before you got there. I don't recall anyone being assed out with a packed car trying find out where they're staying for the semester :mjpls:

Lol that financial aid/financial clearance process tho :wow: that was always a headache. I remember being stressed out bc they told me I owed thousands of dollars....robbed Peter to pay Paul to get registered...come to find out I didn't have to make any payments at all:ohhh::wow::mjcry:

He went and got him a 1-person studio just off campus:pachaha:

You can be gay. I got no issue with that, but that over the top bobby lytes(love and hip hop miami) type gay is some shyt that would even make me uncomfortable:heh:
