I just wrote a lot about Chinese military history over the past 70 years. But it's all pointless, between the comments here about Nuclear and ICBM's. And even Stanley Kubrick's comedy "Dr. Strangelove", which clearly spells out why a land battle is next to impossible between countries of these sizes/armories. Meh it's pointless.

With that said, Chinese military history in the past 70 years is fascinating in its own right (The Long March, Damansky Island, South China Sea conflicts/island building). Worth reading up on.

I recommend this site if you want to follow PLA latest development.

Sino Defence Forum - China Military Forum

Well the issue is this. Since most of you wouldn’t be fighting someone has to step food on China’s soil. And they will be destroyed. No one is taking China.

most of the stuff you are talking about believe it or not needs a sensor to shooter.

It the same as no one is coming to the US. None of that is occurring. Mutually assured destruction is a known thing. It just isn’t happening.

i'm not talkin about nukes, i'm talkin about straight 1v1 man to man warfare.
Except we live in the real world.

with that being said. there is nothing the U.S can do to China and vice verse without blowing up half the planet. You can spend billions to have superior tech, billions on aircraft carriers, billions on subs, billion on billions.

theyll sit back and watch you waste money, and the moment you even touch chinese soil, they go :heh: nope

The ground forces part is damn near irrelevant because neither army is gonna step on the other's soil because:

  1. Nukes
  2. It's a death sentence even without nukes.
  3. China doesn't have the amphibious capabilities to invade other non-land locked countries en masse.
They'd get wiped out if they tried to land troops on Taiwan, and their Navy can't contend with ours. Our carriers are much better and more advanced, our subs are better and faster, and our Air Force is better and more advanced. If their Anti-ship missiles aren't legit, then they're 50 different shades of fukked without nuclear weapons.

I’m not exactly sure that our tech is better or that it will be in 5 years
