What say you?

Pros:
  • Never watching a pitcher attempt to hit again
  • Pitchers never risking injury swinging/running/sliding
  • Never having to see homo pitchers in jackets on the basepath
  • Not having to pull a starter under 100 pitches who is pitching well b/c your offense is shytting the bed
  • AL teams not having to play their shytty DH in the field in NL parks
  • Hopefully less bunting - Less free outs
  • You can utilize the "second lead off hitter" in the 9 spot
  • Always having a spot in the lineup for that raw hitter who "doesn't quite have a position"
  • Good way to give your regulars half a game off every now and then
  • Hopefully not seeing moron NL managers botch bullpen management as much

Cons:
  • One less easy out for the pitcher
  • ... uh
  • the uh...
  • Nothing else.

Bu... but, what about all that amazing strategy that happens in NL games? Like 4 pitching changes an inning, and the almighty double switch?!!! What about them?! So sick of hearing about how much better the National League product is, when it fukkin isn't. That's so overblown, and in this day and age where Interleague is only expanding, not going away, just fukkin do it already.

If I have to watch one more damn game where there are RISP with 2 outs in like the 4th only for the pitcher to be up... that shyt is old and pathetic.

Oh and spare me about the pitchers who can hit, b/c they are few and far between. If a pitcher hits .200, he's basically considered a great hitter.

And lets be real for a second here, most 8-9 hitters are gonna be pretty crappy anyway, so pitchers should still be able to do their damn job on the mound against the bottom 3rd without the added luxury of a guy swinging the bat like a retarded female toddler against them every 3 innings.

i understand the NL is more strategic and you use more of your bench, but at the end of the day i dont want to see a pitcher hit. especially guys that dont even bother its a little embarrasing

Yay. I will never see the point in letting someone who isn't even trained to be a hitter hit. Pitchers don't get paid to hit and most of the time are just free strikeouts.

Don't feed me any "you're an AL homer" bullshyt. Chien min wang I think was his named ruined his career base running. We don't need any more .090-.200 hitters out there and forcing that pitcher off the mound. fukk that shyt :camby:. Actual hitters should be at the plate. When my quota is up I got some rep for you OP

i know it might be dumb, but one thing I dont love about the DH, is that it lets a pitcher off the hook for throwing inside and getting at batters

that pitcher gonna think twice about throwing at someone if hes due to bat next inning :francis:

I'm a fan of an NL team (Pirates), but I still think that the DH should be in both leagues. There's nothing worse than having runners in scoring position with a pitcher coming up to bat. Some pitchers can hit, but the majority are :trash:at the plate.

Hell no. How about getting rid of the dh altogether. Every player should have to hit and field.

that opinion is so damn archaic

and for the "it makes the game quicker" crowd - what do you think the pace of game rules this year are for? it's a pre-curser. DH is coming

Had to watch my pitcher foul off a bunt on strike 3 before. If I never see that again, I'll be a happy man

All they have to do is enter the 20th, not even the 21st century, and get rid of this self-policing farce and actually punish pitchers for that bullshyt. See how many pitchers are still pulling that after getting tossed and missing a start or two with the penalty getting worse each time you do it.

Maintaining split rules only makes sense if you are maintaining split leagues. Everything intermingles at this point so clinging to this is just dumb.

I'd have a dh in the lineup for every pitcher except Tim "The Hammer" Hudson :jawalrus:
