Kendrick Lamar is not that good

Kid Cudi can't rap

Royce's Hot 97 freestyle wasn't that crazy

Pusha T is not as dope of a "lyricist" as he and others claim that he is for some reason

Ebro in the morning conducts better interviews than the Breakfast Club

J Cole's album was just okay at best

Cardi B is repulsive

Lupe Fiasco is still nicer than everybody, by far

I prefer singing/harmonizing Drake over rapping Drake

The Meek Mill treatment in Summer 2015 was a "Hip Hop is Dead" moment for this era, and clear line in the sand was drawn on some BC/AD shyt

Asap Rocky career has been an epic disappointment

Homeboy Sandman is one of the best rappers ever, skillwise

Kendrick DAMN album wasn't that great but got points for being his most accessible and pop leaning project. He also blatantly and shamelessly bit Lupe's backwards concept

Kendrick Lamar is not that good of a rapper. His best CD is GKMC

Schoolboy Q is the best rapper in Top Dawg

The best female rapper is Tokyo Jetz right now

Future has fell off....still believe he can bounce back tho

Young Thug is nice. He is no genius.

Childish Gambino's music is ok at best. Not a genius in anything he does.

2 Chainz is currently King of the South

Kevin Gates has the best flow in the game right now

Drake's been the king of hip hop for the last decade. His last 2 CDs were not good.

Eminem is a top 20 rapper...no higher

Max B would not have blown if he was out of jail and solo with the Coke Boys.

Max B would have blown if Byrdgang stayed together.

Stack Bundles' death is the reason that NY rap has been doing a nomad impression for the last 10-15 years

I don't think that rap's young generation is any wilder than we were at that age (I'm 31); they have better access to technology and more people are aware of the technology

Tekashi69 is trash if you listen to the words. His energy carries him. His types are needed in hip hop.

If everyone would take a step back, they would realize we are in a great era of music....there is always something to listen too and new stuff to find...

That said.....Rich Homie Quan's "Rich as in Spirit" is the best CD so far of the year

Kanye didnt fall off musically until TLOP....but hes cooked

J.Cole is nowhere near as nice as he was during the Come Up/Warm Up/Friday Night Lights run....I'd say he actually dumbed it down a little with the harmonizing

Travis Scott is garbage

DS2 was the last classic that we got...the magnum opus of trap music.....(Yes, better than TM101, Trap Musik, Traphouse 3, No Labels 2, etc.)

If you are over 26, Hip Hop is still yours to love but its not in your hands any more. Let the youngins do their own thing.

I'm here for the discussion, not the smoke:manny:

KOD is garbage bar 1985

Daytona was average. Pusha T shouldn't work with Kanye on a full project again.

Nasir is a contender for worst album of the year along with Carter 5.

Day 69 is one of this year's best releases.

Every Roc Marc release since The Pimpire...has been average to trash.

Big KRIT fell off something serious.

Griselda are a bad 90s tribute act

Xxx(rip) was a smart dumb nikka and if it weren't for his tragic death this would not be an unpopular opinion.

Freddie Gibbs is the best rapper of the 2010s

Flockisvelli is a classic album and more influential than any album in the past 10 years other than 808s

69 made some raw ass music. Too bad he was a little fukk boy

Drill music brought hip hop back to the youth

I liked GMC but Kendrick is overrated as fukk.

2010-2013 were the most creative years in hip hop since the 90s particularly in the underground realm. Mainstream radio is still hot :trash:

Most rap music negatively influences the youth.

Which brings me to this point, SzA is a bad influrnce to young women

Nobody trying to listen to nas and Jay nowadays

NYC black coffee tough guys aka the Stoozy Boys
Gambino has some better metaphors than any of the legends

Cole is literally, lyrically, and commercially better than Nas

Eminem is still better than everyone in rap, even when he fukks up

Bone Thugs is mumble rap - couldn't understand the lyrics, a boy band, and they used ad libs before they spit their bars. Fast or slow, if I can't understand what you're saying, its mumbling.

Aaliyah wasn't that great of a singer, she just had the Timbo push.

Drake won every beef, with Scorpion solidifying him as the GOAT.

Black Thought had a nice freestyle, but he's still trash when it comes to producing a hit song.

Premo is garbo these days.
