Bound to happen. Kinda glad they did one on them. We debated a lot as to whether they warranted an episode.
was debating this with the fam. Perhaps they were Unsung because it was such a short lived fame. Basically from the time I was in 5th grade to 9th grade. Maybe the stuff outside of music transcended what they actually were, so maybe their influence on that time was kind of Unsung compared to say Hammer, but they were pretty famous. I dunno, I use my gf as a barometer for these things as she was pretty sheltered growing up at that time and is amazed at how many records sold and hits groups like Troop, Xscape and Freddie Jackson sold. I think they are more Unsung than Kid N Play, who had a damn Saturday Morning cartoon and 4 movies.
yea, theyre unsung because we're at the point where theres too many people walking around now that have no clue how huge they were in the late '80s & early '90s. and thats not short-lived fame either. thats 2 eras right there good brother.
and you know what? i'd say that mc hammer qualifies for an unsung in 2015. theres people on here that think he was a one-hit wonder.
i liked 3 more than 1 in the '90s. not saying it was better.
3 is def better than 2 tho.
house party 3 was just too cool for school. its the coolest movie ever from top-to-bottom. darn near every character is wavey.
