Gil is an a$$hole. He was beating up on Avee Storey, a guy who was just fighting to stay on a roster. The fun gun shyt was obviously bad, but that really bothered me because dude couldn’t do shyt to Gil due to their statuses. That was really nasty.


I want to feel bad for Critterdon, but he had issues before the guns. Joining the crips as an NBA player is stupid. He was paying for protection. He needed a vet to take him under their wing, but it seems like LA was in a different space at that time/Critterdon was probably acting stupid.

He also shot an innocent woman and is out when he probably should be in the clink for life.

Finally watched and Arenas was and still is immature. Would have loved to hear from Awvee Storey because he was getting bullied in all those clips, surprising he didn't crash out too. Crittenton, you can feel bad for him but at the same time he took a woman's life away. Should have just snitched on his robbers and moved out the hood instead of hanging around and trying to take revenge for himself.

Laughed at Dawhite randomly being involved in this story because of his uncle.

I was expecting a fun doc. Did not follow the story so I didn't expect thst twist. I need to read up on Crit because something definitely happen in his childhood. I don't think it's just growing up in the hood.

Something rubs me the wrong way about this guy saying “God freed me” after the crimes he committed.

Talking about “God is merciful”…. God doesn’t seem very merciful to those 4 poor girls who don’t have a mother because of you.

First time I have been disappointed in a Netflix doc. They jumped around a lot of things and it would have been good if they had been able to get any of the older players from that Wizards team, or the Lakers team that Javaris got drafted to. Even the coach that got interviewed didn't give any insight into what he does to help rookies handle the transition from being the man in college to not playing at all in the NBA.

Arenas is who he is. I thought that I wouldn't be surprised by anything that he did until he brought up the gun transportation.
