All of this is sad, just get to work, get the people onto the message, and move on, this is some little kid shyt
What's crazy is everyone can respond on who did what first, but when its about politics, its only a few people actually listening, and talking. People in general are full of shyt, but if you're black, how can you engage in all of this, knowing where it will lead? I truly believe this "black empowerment" is just entertainment for some, a way to hate white people, and money making for others. I grew up going to lectures, African festivals, and having pride, in the late 80's. Stop being a part of it because of all the frauds. Got back into it around 2009, only to find the same thing. I learn about Yvette & Tone, almost three years ago, got me believing that something might actually happen for us, only for fighting to happen. AND, it started by the same person who started talking about "being on code"!
I guess I'm losing hope again, because even though i truly believe in ADOS as a movement, I know there are WAY more people who wouldn't mind stopping it, just to get their own thing going. People who don't want us to get our just due have no problem finding agents in this era, and what's wild is the people would have no idea they are agents, because they are full of hate anyway, and don't mind bring shyt to a halt.
I just want a separation from these people, they were around before me, i seen them do this shyt when I was young, and they are doing it again, under the guise of "being for the people". Their hate killed everything good we had going. Whether it was neighborhoods, our arts, or the way we are viewed in society, these people just shyt on everything that was about to lift us up as a people. I could go on & on, but i know older people know what I'm talking about. Why do you think Hip Hop turned into some street shyt, these same people put down the rappers with lyical skills, and deep thinking, to have the kids laugh at that now, and its all about dumb nikka shyt. Even our plays aint the same anymore, I remember you had Tyler Perry type plays, but you also had more upscale type plays, but what happened? These same people would shyt on them and say it aint black enough, and those people are bougie. I remember girls wanting to do Ballet, only for the hip hop or African dancing to be seen as better, and "black". We have to find a way to separate from these energy draining people! They just want things to be a certain way, and if it isn't, it aint '"for the people", or "you think you're better". Look how Tariq keeps downplaying "the data", when it is the data that forces people to take us serious, not any moral reasoning! You truly think we will get reparations because people hear the horror stories that happened?
