This was a strategic mission of sorts by O'Brien. By having Linta throw his name open to NFL openings and having the agent field initial offers, he was able to gain additional leverage that allowed him to accomplish structural and personnel changes at Penn State that will be forthcoming. O'Brien declined to be specific about those changes when asked but he did not deny those aims.

Huge mistake in 3 years after embarrassing year one after another he won't be able to buy a job

He's got 9 years Guaranteed Money, was a Kicker away from winning 10 games in his 1st year

He recruited the #1 QB in the country and I'm not talking about no Jimmy Claussen noodle arm type QB either.

He made an below average QB look good.

He's going to be fine.

Should have taken the job. His stock ain't gonna get better. Big 10 was a down year this year and Penn State looked better than what they really were.

Michigan will be better, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan S, and you know Ohio State will be crushing buildings next year. Penn State won't be seeing that 8 win mark for the next 4 years.

He had a team full of seniors and talent already there and that qb is the number 18 prospect you pedo state fans act like he's the number one overall prospect
No telling how good might be but the talent around him will be horrible in two years he stay there all 9 years they will be below temple by than

He got his money but his career won't be fine

O'Brien can sell the NFL and playing time to any recruit.

Looking at PSU recruiting, he did pretty good. Even found his own Gronk.

He's not getting interviews because of what he did at PSU, he's getting inteviews because he invented this Monster 2 TE system that can't be stopped

Adam Breneman - Football Recruiting - Player Profiles - ESPN

And he is also a great humanitarian and just the type of football player we love at PSU..
Catch The Cure, marking the partnership between five star Penn State football recruit Adam Breneman and Project A.L.S. (Project A.L.S.™ - Finding & Funding a Cure for ALS), will start a new chapter in ALS advocacy and fundraising. Breneman, whose talents have been extolled on ESPN, Rivals.com, Scout.com, Bleacher Report, and many other outlets, will work with Project A.L.S. to raise significant funds for ALS research, raise awareness about ALS and advocate for those with neurodegenerative brain diseases around the world.

When we kicked off Catch The Cure in July, our initial goal was to raise $20,000. Three and a half months later, we have nearly tripled our original goal. And we aren’t done yet!

The last day to donate to this phase of the Catch The Cure fundraiser is Sunday, November 18, 2012.

And you haven’t even heard the best news yet:

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Company (New Caterpillar Equipment PA, Used Equipment Pennsylvania - Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co.), a business located in central PA, has pledged to match the total amount of money raised by Catch The Cure. This will put the total amount of money raised by the Catch The Cure campaign well over $100,000!

Also, Christian Hackenberg is thought by many to be the No. 1 QB recruit and he is coming here. With many years ahead of such a tandem, we'll be set.

O'Brien is just a genius with tight ends. Kyle Carter entered this season as a nobody, a redshirt freshman. He's heading into his sophomore year as one of the premier targets in the B1G. Jesse James is another tight end that has a lot of potential in the coming years. And then you have Matt Lehman, who is a very good blocker and receiver. Add to that, Garry Gilliam -- not the most physically gifted, but very outspoken and has all the makings of a captain. And Allen Robinson is a future All-American at wide receiver.
