I watched Bad Boys 2 again last weekend.
That movie is so F'ing good. I remember I had to watch it twice in theatres.
Bad Boys was better...before Michael Bay and Bruckheimer were caricatures.

We need that Bad Boys 3 to bring Will Smith back to greatness.
Well we would hope that would be the case. A lot has changed since the last Bad Boy 2 movie. Smith & Bay both make a lot more money now and they both get hated on nowadays. Also the timing of these Bad Boys movies are never good, they always seem to wait too long to come out with the sequels. Bad Boys III will pretty much be catered to a new generation. So there are many factors that could black cloud this movie and not be a guaranteed hit or a success in Hollywood standards.

He was dissapointed with the sales figures, not the film, friend. Be honest with friends. That ADHD crazy.
It's all opinions man not everybody see’s eye to eye. Will Smith was more concerned that it failed commercially and was his first failure since Wild Wild West on the Jimmy Kimmel show. That's bad for his rep and ego. Before the movie came out they already had books out, and plans for sequels, cartoons etc. That doesn't sound like he was disappointed then. Once all the hate came out about him pushing his kids in his movies hit the social media outlets it was over. You had people that didn't even see the flick hating on the movie just because it was the popular thing to do.

The movie had potential. And if it was in a capable director's hands it probably woulda been a totally different film

After earth cost 130 million to make and did 247 million worldwide. Hardly considered a flop to the studio but domestically it tanked at 60 million. The world loves Will Smith though. I think the real problem with the movie that individuals took issue with are a little more sinister then friends will admit.

Usually marketing is half of the production budget at THE MOST so given that, the film still recouped and made a great deal of money for individuals but for a Will Smith film, thats still a bit of a gamble.
