Developers get paid good money for having their games on gamepass.

Different means to the same end.
I highly doubt they get paid more than if the same folks outright purchased the game.

We’ve seen it happen in movies, and music already

And this ties into one of my previous posts. How long is the bag going to last. There’s going to be a point where M$ isn’t paying devs premium prices, they going to try and bully these devs for much less

@ me when Wolverine is $80.

Oh, i will :wow:
$280 still isn't $360. What we doing here?
$280 in the last 5 months:usure:

Would have been $100 at old Gamepass prices and $150 at current prices

What we doing is saving money over here :ahh:
And you keep skipping right over the fact that you're still comparing rental vs owning these games as if it was the same thing.
Gamepass is not for collectors. It’s a discount program. You collectors gotta pay that hot $80 :wow:
"But but but we have gamepass and still buy games!!!" - OK.....so you are on a lease to own program with your games. Cool.
Not sure what any of this means. Must be Cult speech :patrice:

He definitely needs to be on the Xbox media team. He's trying his best to spin it into a positive position :russ:

I have plenty of physical games and haven't been to a store to buy games in damn near a decade.

I buy shyt like Megabonk for 8 dollars to try it out. Even if it doesn't hit, I hooked that developer up with a purchase, not a "play"

:mjlol:
He trying so hard to defend it he even forgot that games get delivered to your house :russ:

You made this up in your mind.

Gaming is a risky business. For some developers guaranteed money is exactly what they need to exist and be creative.
You really think M$ is paying retail pricing for these games?

Then folks has the nerve to bring up business in the next sentence.

5 AAA games a year is not that bad assuming you play a bunch of games a year. I play way beyond 5 games a year, and there are some previous gen games on there I never played as well. This is a great value when playing a bunch of games at $30, but decreases when you don't play a bunch of games when using the service. Can not pay until there are games on there you want to play, so you won't necessarily be spending $360 a year unless there are always game you want to play on there.
