According to you- $360 a year makes sense to rent the games. But talk to me about owning the games. Because if the deal is so great then it would mean that the games you're renting are great, and if that's the case you would think they'd be good enough to own right? So $360/year plus the, what? $40 - $80 right that you'll pay on top of that to own the games you loved. You're basically on a lease to own plan.

This isn't a physical vs digital conversation.
That's more subjective.
Your position implies that GamePass Ultimate is still a great value because it would cost more to own the games.
My question is, if the games in GamePass Ultimate are so great, why wouldn't you want to own them? In which case that $360/year sub balloons your total cost really fast. You also skip over games being delisted from time to time and people typically play one or two games max at a time anyway. So what value is there having access to 600,000 games or whatever when a person can only consume what? 8 - 16 games a year? To me that's the way to math the math. How much can you possibly game on a monthly basis to begin with? (Not you, the general public you).

Nah these dudes feel entitled to the highest tier but also the best value.

Most these dudes in here either sub when they want something for a month or haven't been using it anyway and it was only a matter of time before they unsubbed anyway.

Most games you just play through them and don’t really touch them again.

I’ve already given you an example of two gamers here myself and @Gizmo_Duck who saved money this year on gamepass.

That may not work for everybody.
