These winning college coaches want to hit the ground running when they come into the NFL and when it doesn't happen they eventually wilt, fold, and run back to the college game. The NFL head coaching gig is like a 18 hour a day grind, sometimes year round. In college these dudes get the best recruits, win games, and get more time off at the collegiate level. I remember when there was word of Steve Spurrier, who was coaching the Washington Football Team at the time after leaving Florida, complaining about not hitting the gold course like he could while coaching in college. I think the thing with Urban is that nobody knew he would fall off this fast, only four games into the season. There was always jokes and talk of him abandoning ship-looking at USC at some point but nothing this early in his Jaguar tenure

All he knew was winning. Now he doesn't even know how to win.
