That's true but I think our 08 team was JUST as good as that Miami team but no team is touching that 95 Nebraska team...we should know :to:
:mjlol:

The '01 Canes had 38 of the 89 players on their roster drafted, including 17 in the first round. Andre Johnson and Willis McGahee — both of whom were playing in the contest — were a part of that squad, along with Frank Gore, Clinton Portis and Najeh Davenport also in the backfield. As if that wasn't impressive enough, other offensive weapons included Santana Moss, Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow, who were on the receiving end from quarterback Ken Dorsey. On the defensive side of the ball alongside Reed, stars included Jonathan Vilma, Phillip Buchanon, D.J. Williams, Vince Wilfork, Antrel Rolle, Ed Reed and Sean Taylor.

Yea, he's wylin. Can't make that claim when you lost a game. Sorry.

Still don't see how the '01 Canes are some undisputable GOAT team. Most talented ever? Sure.

But you can't be the GOAT college football team if you needed a fluke INT to beat Boston College.

The 95 Nebraska team destroyed everyone in their path. It was unreal.

shyt, if you compare the '13 Noles resume and '01 Miami's, there's a legit argument to be made for the former. We thoroughly dominated every game until the National Championship and the team was stacked with NFL talent. Not to mention, no team has ever scored more points in a season.

Miami, outscored its opponents 512-117, including 236-72 against five teams that were ranked at the time they played. In back-to-back games against Syracuse and Washington, the Canes produced the biggest two-game margins of victory against a pair of ranked teams in college football history (124-7). They also only trailed TWICE all season long......and please explain why that int was a fluke........:usure:

That's cool. But when you're talking GOAT shyt, and other teams in the conversation have absolutely trounced every single opponent, narrowly escaping being upset counts against you.

and it was a fluke because the ball bounced off a DB's shin and right into the hands of a d-lineman (I think, it's been forever and my memory ain't what it used to be) as Boston College was on the verge of going in for the winning score.

The other teams in the conversation just never had a close call like that to an inferior opponent.

Again, Nebraska's 95 team was easily the most dominant. The Canes' 01 team was more talented, though.

A fluke int? The int that was caused by Rumph jumping the route.....wtf you talking bout? The play has already been linked just watch it bro......
A November road game against a conference opponent who won 8 games is nothing to scoff at. At the end of the day would you take your squad and line it up against that canes squad?!?!? Who you think gonna win the majority of the times............

Of course it's nothing to scoff at, almost every championship team has one or two close calls per season. But when the stakes are this high and you're talking about the GOAT team, it matters. Below is what the '95 Huskers did to teams. Notice there's nothing resembling the narrow wins Miami had against BC and VT.

at Michigan State

Arizona State

I'm not diminishing that cornhuskers team and what they did. But let us remember that was a different era when running up the score was needed. There was no BCS. So who's to say what any post BCS team's margin of victory would look like. But yea I still think that team is one of the GOATs. As a matter of fact I listed them as one of the GOAT teams in my earlier posts bro. But if you asked me my honest opinion, pound for pound talent wise that 01 canes team is the best ever.

that 01 canes team couldve hung 60 on nebraska in the title game...grandpa coker called off the dogs early in the 3rd quarter

That's why alot of times stats and final scores do not tell the tale of how thoroughly a team has been dominated....

I gotta revisit that 13 Noles squad. I knew they were blasting opponents as well. I guess history will show how that team's overall place in the annals of greatness will eventually be looked at.

He's wrong. Matter of fact 08 Trojans > 08 Gators. Texas was also better than that fraud ass OU team they beat in the title game. That would have been the perfect year for the 4 team playoff

You mean the "fraud ass" OU team missing it's BEST offensive player Demarco Murray?

Dude was our work horse and by far our best player all year and we didnt have him. :
