AGAIN, I'm not trying to diminish what they did. But you can't deny that they played in an era where style points counted and you HAD to run up the score because of the way the system was set up to crown national champions. Teams in the BCS era had other factors that determined ranking so style points were not so heavily relied upon.......

The difference between that Huskers team and everybody else is that they were legitimately 4-5 TD's better than every other team. Osborne wasn't running the score up. That score is just what naturally happened. I was 14 and remember thinking they (the Huskers) were frauds all year. Even more so when the Gators were up after the first quarter and then the 2nd quarter happened......the rest was fukking history. I still remember thinking Tommie Frazier was fukking superman after that 75 yard run.

That 01 Canes team had talent. No doubt. Those SC teams were off the charts talented too. If you're using NFL draft picks to validate greatness, but on the field that Huskers team were fukking brutes. Tommie Frazier might be the most underrated college football player of all time.

shyt, if you compare the '13 Noles resume and '01 Miami's, there's a legit argument to be made for the former. We thoroughly dominated every game until the National Championship and the team was stacked with NFL talent. Not to mention, no team has ever scored more points in a season.

I guess we're just gonna gloss over the fact that those Canes teams won 34 straight, right?

2011 Alabama is really underrated they lost at home in OT by 3 to the #1 team due to shytty FG kicker but they pretty much shutdown everyone else and avenged the LSU loss in the title game with a shutout. 2011 Bama defense would've gave Urban another heart attack.
