casual fans like me are uninterested
No it isn't..... There's lots of talent out there right now.... Smack has to get these nikkas more light.... These "top tier" nikkas looking burned out.

the casual fan is losing interest, if they havent lost it already... URL failed to capitalize off all the attention from last summer, from LeBron, Diddy, Durant, Jay Z tweeting about it etc.

too much fukkery and too many long ass boring battles like this........ they should just take it back to the barbershop battles, it was way more entertaining

This whole battle came off choreographed. I would not be surprised if these two knew each others rounds. They probably bounced ideas off each other on the phone. I hated this match up from the beginning, because these niiggas just seem too cool with each other.

With the exception of the remix, I really didn't care for Hitman's hyped up first round. The whole "prop to win" performance was great, but I was not feeling most of the first round.

This battle is embarrassing. If anything, it let's the casual fans know why URL went the direction they went for SM3.
Thats what im sayin all that laughin and jokin on stage the comments they was making to each other I believe its something more to this shyt and nikkas been coming out with these smack being a bad business man videos got me thinking they threw this battle imo

Everyone's reaction to this battle just proves your only as good as your last battle.

Conceited actually needs to face someone like a Bmagic. He knows he would have to come correct.

This was the worst performance of their careers. They aren't gonna come like this against whomever they face next.

i was thirsty for this battle for at least 4 rounds, but those 4 rounds didnt even deliver like that... :sadcam:

No disrespect, but you're a "casual fan" your kind comes and go's anyway... If you weren't just "casual" you'd know there's LOTS of talent that's waiting to get their shot.

I am probably the only Conceited stan on this site, and I can't name a battle when this nikka was just boring like this. Even his Jungle battles had performances better than this.

im sure they have, but nobody is watching it.... the new breed-mid-tier only gets 150k type views.
Who cares man??? I don't give a fukk about battle rap getting main stream. That's what's hurting the quality of the battles.

Battle rap should stay underground where it belongs. They can still generate revenue and keep sponsors, because while it's a niche brand of hip hop, their fan base is very strong and isn't going anywhere. I could care less if nikkas who don't care about battle rap stop watching. This is not for them anyway. Fair weather fans happen in every genre of music. That is all just cycle of life shyt. They'll come, be back, leave again. Same shyt. Can't worry about them. Got to worry about the main audience.

every form of entertainment, nba, nfl, hip hop etc will not succeed without the "casual fan", if you cant cross over, you will be a niche'.. and URL had the chance last summer to cross over, but failed.. dont get me wrong, i still respect the battles and the culture, but the last 12 months have been wack battle after wack battle, mixed with whole bunch of fukkery and bad business

the main audience isnt big enough for Smack to make this into a successful business. The "main audience" will have them battling inside sneaker stores in Harlem again.

Barttle rap has succeeded for over 10 years in this format, 8 of those years without the "casual" fan watching. And there's no evidence the causal fan is even leaving yet to be honest. My wife still watches battles here and there and she's not a "battle rap" fan.

Fukkery all around.. First 2 rounds were typical.. Con is basic as fukk, and in the right crowd or room mood situation can get off, sucked this whole battle tho.. Holla could have easily had a body with a dope close out round, but went with the worst idea ever.. And talking to the crowd never works for the record.. And i fell out when con caught how corny that pop first like your grandad was after he said it, it's like facing reality in real time, realizing ya shyt Wack as fukk

Yes it is. Do you realize how popular Smack is bro? They can survive off their core audience alone and have been for years and years.

You can't compare it to sports, because their overhead isn't nearly what there's is. And NBA/NFL, etc have a specific skill level that nobody can match. There's nikkas who get 500 dollars a battle that would wipe the floor with some URL nikkas that make 8K a battle.
