Unpopular Opinions About Battle Rap
I don't hate the crowd but I like how this setting is taking away an element these battle rappers need to adapt to. I think having a crowd is a big crutch for some of these guys to get over time and time again to claim a win. It's showcasing who is built to rap for real. If you can do it with crowd reaction....or without crowd reaction....with no slip ups or chokes...go in whether its a few people to a sold out venue, that shows how good the talent is.

nikkas gotta downplay it. They can't admit that Surf got his boots smoked. Or his Jordan 11's smoked. If any criticism I had for Lux on the first watch was get the punch a little quicker in the 2nd. But I watched it again I was like oooooooooooh shyt, he layered way more shyt in there than I thought. So, yeah...all that star power and politics shyt don't mean nothin' when it's time to work. Beloved showed that.
Stamp. This nikka is a genius level writer man and that's inarguable. I get that when you're exalted like homie has been in the culture that backlash comes with that but I'm not concerned with none of that. I'm here to watch performances that only a few people on earth can execute, and there just aren't many people in this culture (if any) that can manipulate words like him.

After multiple watches, I take back what I said about Lux coming light. He wasn’t punching heavy but his writing was top notch. I think it was impossible to follow up Day/Roc so the drop in energy clouded my judgment
