I mean I always looked at it like Verb WANTED to be the villain and the bad guy for his brand and fo guarantee he was always talked about. Him complaining about it was always for entertainment, from my perspective at least; either that or he was just silly with it lol. It was always the equivalent of when Floyd would talk about how people disliked him knowing damn well he was playing a villain role for the bag lol.I hate this narrative they tryna push
Verb was DISSIN New York, then turned around and acted a surprised victim cause NY aint like with him.

New York wasn’t innocent, don’t get me wrong.
For instance.. they booed Hitman in the intro vs Cortez, but they LOVED him when he started rappin.
B Magic coulda been a superstar, he got as many chances during his fall off because of how much New York LOVED him.

He said Aye Verb spoke about this, we know that. He mentioned Hitman, Ill and Calicoe, and not once do I ever remember them complaining about NY crowds or it being true in application. It’s one of those things that became a narrative without any facts behind it.
Still haven’t seen 1 example of a NY crowd being bias towards non-East coast battlers or bias towards east coast battlers in general. Most of the NY battlers got booed in NY from Math to K-Shine to Lux to Conceited and so on and so forth.
I just want 1 battle of a NY crowd not giving a non-NY battler love or booing just because they’re not from NY.
The Beasley cousin thing is a running joke. Its not real. It’s the same as when people said Shea Davis was Smack’s cousin.
