Lol Ace isn't even overly cocky, not anymore than any other battle rapper. Every battle rapper should think they're the best (mind you, I've never even heard Ace ever say he was).

Ace hasn't been on a big Smack card in damn near 2 years lol. SuperFight was the first "big" Smack event Ace has been on since 2019. And he technically wasn't even on it.

I remember when people hated Ace during the JJDD feud and it was literally JJDD that escalated it into some gunplay shyt, and you had fans saying "Ace thinks he's too tough" like lol what? These battle rap fans just be projecting their own insecurities bro.

What’s so crazy is…I remember the culture being excited when the last round of judges was announced. It wasn’t until things went the way they did that there was a problem.

Yeah, go ahead and get some battlers on the panel and see if that stops issues/complaints…you ever watch a dunk contest? Magic, Dominique, and Dr. J can be on the panel and you’ll still see questionable scores and robberies. It just the way things are.

Ace does a lot of trolling with his shyt talking, something I find entertaining but it turns off a lot of fans. It turns people off in general because I’m that type of person in real life lol. It’s another reason Surf is hated so much. Ace knows what he’s doing though, he likes that hate.

Nah, because just as much as the material counts so does getting thru your rounds in the cleanest manner that you can. If we all just went by material in battle rap and not a smoother delivery, a lot of wins and losses would be upside down and reversals would be made.Tbh, if anyone gave Cor that 3rd is bugging’ because that is the round he clearly lost; he choked and his material barely hit then. Ace was a bit smoother in delivery and the material was top notch. That 2nd isn’t that clear just based on material.

Ace is nice with the wordplay and syllables but he has shown over and over he is choppy in most of his battles. Cortez got more experience in the ring in comparison; has a few chokes but not as msny as Ace. I'm not going to go off material alone. Have the material, have the delivery down, and get thru your round. I don't see how hard it is to go by that standard. Even if the round is weak, getting thru your round is part of attempting to win the round.
